Downset - Touch

Downset - Touch Birth to this emptiness, conception in lovelessness Spiritless hands, show no caress There was no embrace from tear-stained faces Environment bottomless, compassion was motionless Weary eyes will only see the depths of captivity Here in this, perpetual misery Hate's piercing sound, disfigures the soul In the stream of my tears, I lay in their mold Do got Do got Do you got Do you...

Skyhooks - Sitting In A Bar In Adelaide
Came across them in Perth after an overland trip from UK in 74. Saw them at least a couple of times in the Sandgropper Hotel . Great memories.
Crazy that the audience is just sitting there! Wouldn’t you want to be up and dancing along?
Esse nanico é foda! Canta muito!
What is the matter with the audience. They look bored shitless.
I wonder what Red tells his grandchildren about these years?
Amazing i fucking love these guys
Hes been smoking and necking Coke since the SEVENTIES !!!!!
My thumb is bigger than his tiny weiner
love this Melbourne bands still rock today
there can be only one
Skyhooks should reform with Leo Sayer i reckon he could pull it off and also lives in Australia .
What a waste this wasn't on an album or single. The 'Hooks were at their best when they were commenting on society directly.
Eles não devem nada para o AC/DC
Love from Canada
Como meu pais sempre atrasado, os conheci agora,,tenho 70 anos, mas faz uma semana que só vejo seus vídeos,,baita banda de rock
I once met Shirl when I was a 13 year old. He was so friendly and not full of himself at all. Just a really cool guy
Way ahead of their time. I was a Hooks fan at 8 years old ! And a fan of the Sweet . And AC / DC Loved hooks track Million dollar riff !
Branded is one of the greatest Rock songs ever all power to Rose Tattoo 🎸👍👍👍👍🎸🎸🎸
The opera house crowd seem a tad shocked
Stunned mullets!
The Sherbert audience who I believe Hooks were supporting, wouldn't have a clue. Teenybopper Sherbert fans :(
Probably the first band in the 70s of Cross Dressers to come out of the Closet and Parade with Glory. The Music was fun and very original for the Time . My pub scene to see Skyhooks AC/DC Hush Radiators Cold Chisel Rose Tattoo and more with a Redback and got me through all night. Those were the Days. Wonder what it takes to do the same in this Time of Inflation and Greed. Love how the Music would compromise the Words and then have the highs and lows of the Instruments. Someone should do a Documentary on Skyhooks Music and Song Writing as the Words were very clear and the music was very original. You can hear every instrument clearly unlike some Bands of the 70s and 80s. I think the album Living in the 70s was a Hit but the next Albums flopped for some reason. Anyway they were Fun and Enjoyable.✌️🫶🇦🇺
Iggy Pop eats the Stones, always did.
😍
This is the band you imagine would play in the most dangerous biker bar in Texas… freakin bad asses good old fashioned rock n roll no frills no bullshit just a great groove guys who actually lived through something having a good time. The way Rock n roll is meant to be.
The 1991 Live in Olympia show is top notch. The band he played with was fire and made this song catchier than ever.
Nailed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aussie Legends. I hear a strong Frank Zappa influence in the humorous lyrics..
The wonderful soundtrack of my wonderful youth!! Ahh, if only there was a time machine .
If Shirl were still alive, im sure theyde be performing again.💜
Twisties they got me through customs ahead of 200 other passengers at customs, I declared the BBQ KARI flavour I bought in Malaysia, security lady said fuck off and waved me through as I waved to all the others in the non declared queue
I loved them when I was young
Amazing! Red and the others were very underrated. The bassist that’s synonymous with the white cowboy style suit is super eccentric. Skyhooks forever !
Absolute treasure. SKYHOOKS made me the half a man i am today
Hooks were great in '74, as a 10 year old i was allowed to buy the album (yeah i wasn't allowed, but i bought it anyway), a real eye opener... *edit, just spotted the date, was still 9 when this gig happened, 10 days before my 10th.
Hey Yanks, guess what? The lead singer went on to host a kids tv show, and nobody gave a shit!
Angry Anderson and bon Scott have alot of similarities in there vocal range in fact it was bon and Malcolm who got them signed with Albert's studios after hearing how similar they were
My brother is an idiot. He thought the title was literal.
We did it with our band but we do scared for life now. You gotta switch songs.
vintage stuff
I'm with you
Who is the line up in this video? Thanks.
Angry, Peter Wells, Bob Riley, Geordie Leach, and Dallas Royal
@@Damaged71au Thank you!
👏😆, it liberates mind....
I'm still banging hard with the Tatts 40 odd years later, fkn crackin' band 👊🎸🎙🎚🎶👍
Ahh the '70's... When men learnt the pleasure of wearing satin against their skin, and left little to the imagination for fans. lol.
WOW LOVE SHERBETS DRUM KIT IN THE BACKGROUND FOR THE NEXT SET !!!!
such a difference from 8 months earlier being boo'd off stage at sunbury with steve hill.
Believe it or not I just heard this band tonight! AC/DC is my favorite band of all time and this kicks ass! Wow I am very impressed with Rise Tattoo and I will be listening to all there music now as well
I've always loved this catchy tune, even though Iggy Pop actually stands at 5'7.
I'm only 5 foot 7 wouldn't quite have the same impact lol
Lack of audience involvement no cheers or clapping. Melbourne band in Sydney!! They probably cheered Sherbet. Daryl is from Melbourne!!
Melbourne audiences were so much more appreciative!! Melbourne rocks 🤘🏻💗
